The Longmen Grottoes Academy held an academic exchange seminar with the Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art and the University of Chicago

On May 15, a delegation from the Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art and the University of Chicago visited the Longmen Grottoes Academy. The delegation included Chase F. Robinson, The Dame Jillian Sackler Director of the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery and the Freer Gallery of Art; Lori Duggan Gold, Deputy Director for External Management; J. Keith Wilson, Head of the Department of Chinese Art; and Professor Katherine Tsiang, Associate Director of the Center for the Art of East Asia at the University of Chicago.

The two sides held an academic exchange regarding the conservation and research of cultural heritage. Yu Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Longmen Grottoes Academy, attended the seminar.
